We have oh-so-many buttons in our store, in an incredible assortment of colors. We wanted to do something fun with them, so we grabbed a handful of brown, orange, and red buttons, and decided to create a lovely DIY fall card. We used the buttons to create the shape of a leaf, and we’re loving the turnout. This card would be perfect for any holiday event, or simply as a way to express your thanks. Check out all of our buttons online, and follow along below to make your own fall leaf card!
Supplies: cardstock (folded in half), craft glue, an assortment of fall-colored buttons, a pencil
1. Make sure your cardstock is folded into a card, in your desired size. Carefully draw the outline of a leaf onto the cardstock. You can do either it by freehand or use a stencil.
3. Gently erase most of the pencil so the leaf outline is just a faint line. Start gluing the buttons down individually so that they fill the outline of the leaf.
4. Keep gluing down the buttons until you’ve filled the entire leaf outline. Add some small buttons for the stem, then you’re all set. Write a message on the inside and share it with a loved one!
