DIY: Crystal Embellished T-Shirt

Does your old graphic tee need a glamorous upgrade? Give it the gusto it deserves with Swarovski crystals! We’re channeling spring and breathing bright color into this botanical print t-shirt by outlining the leaves in brilliant shades of emerald and olive. DSC_0588

What You’ll Need: 

Graphic Tee (H&M)

Olivine SS20 Flat Back Rhinestones

Fern Green SS16 Flat Back Rhinestones 

E6000

Glue Syringe

Crystal KatanaDSC_05901. Decide which areas you would like to embellish with crystals. We decided to use the rhinestones to accent the palm fronds on the shirt.

DSC_05902. Apply glue with the syringe to create a neat thin line.

DSC_0599 3. Using your Crystal Katana, lay out your rhinestones precisely but quickly on the line of glue.

DSC_06124. Apply the rhinestones and glue section by section so that the glue doesn’t dry prematurely, and let the piece dry overnight.

  1. Nice effect – it reminds me of some Matthew Williamson wallpaper I once had from Habitat – it came with a packet of varying shaped crystals to stick on in various places to catch the light. Great fun, but sadly it’s gone now in favour of another scheme!
