With all of the hype around Pantone’s Color of the Year, Radiant Orchid, you’d think that would be the only color on everyone’s minds. Not so! Pantone recently released the spring color trends for 2014, and Celosia Orange was a popular choice that we’re seeing all over the runways in inside the most fashionable homes.
The name comes from the vibrant celosia flower. This beautiful bloom comes in a range of bright colors and has a slightly fuzzy texture.
Celosia Orange is definitely a statement-making color that’s not for the timid. But if you do decide to brave it, it will give you an undeniable glow.
This bold color is a popular choice for home decor too! It adds personality to any room, especially if placed against a neutral background. Need a color palette that never fails to impress? Try pairing Celosia Orange with teal or cornflower blue. These contrasting colors are a decor match made in heaven!

Great post! I’ve been using Celosia in my LR for a while to offset the neutral walls- works fantastic without being too funky – Martha Stewart Home Office has beautiful accessories (binders etc) in a ‘teal-ish’ color that goes beautifully with Celosia. Ikea had storage products (magazine holders and pretty organizing boxes of different sizes) in Celosia, but they’re hard to find in that color now.
Orange and teal is such a winning combination. Thanks for the tips on where to find matching home decor accessories!
