The first DIY in this installment of the 4 Ways series is perfect for a formal event! This up-do is messy enough that recreating it is simple, but also stylish enough to wear to prom or even a wedding! We love using these metal seashell buttons for the warmer months, but feel free to play around with any shape or style! You can also use crystal sew-ons for a look that dazzles.
Materials:
Metal Hair Pins
1. Remove the shank on the back of the buttons with a set of pliers.
2. Apply glue to the back of the button, and then add the clip directly on top. Let the clips dry overnight
3. Take a section of the front of your hair and either braid or twist to the back of your head.
4. Make a ponytail with your remaining hair.
5. Combine the end of the braid and ponytail into a bun, securing with bobby pins as you go.
6. Add the button hair pins into the braid or twisted part of the hair.
