DIY: Customized Cufflinks

Show your significant other how much you care with these amazing customized rhinestone cufflinks! Check out the steps:

PINK RHINESTONE CUFFLINKS

What you’ll need:

Cufflinks

Gem-tac Glue

Rhinestone Glue-On Kit

Pink Rhinestones (Or any color of your choice)

Step 1: Apply a thin layer of Gem-tac to cufflinks.

Step 2: Using the Glue-On Kit, apply rhinestones working your way from the outside-in with the wooden applicator.

Step 3: Allow it to dry!

What you’ll need: 

Silver cufflinks

Cutting Pliers

Rhinestone Glue-On Kit

2 Rhinestone Buttons

Hot Glue Gun

Step 1: Using plyers, remove the link in back of rhinestone button.

Step 2: Apply thin layer of hot glue to cufflink.

Step 3: Add button to cufflink and apply pressure.

DIY: Holiday Greeting Card

Love is a present you don’t have to wrap but you can always express it with a card. To make it extra special, make it yourself! We’ve come up with three easy tutorials for cute holiday cards that your loved ones will swoon over.

RIBBON STOCKINGS

What you’ll need:

Card stock paper

Printable artwork (click to download)

Ribbon (3 types)

X-acto knife

Tape

1.Print the provided artwork on the card stock. Then with the X-acto knife, carefully cut the inside of the stocking out.

2. Cut each ribbon into a 2″ piece. You should have three different pieces in the end. Make sure you’ve selected ribbon that’s wider than 1.5″.

dsc_08003. Tape the three pieces behind each cut-out in the card, making sure it’s fully covered.

4. Paste another piece of card stock on the inside for a clean finished look.

And you’re done!

 

MINIMALIST TREE:

Colorful buttons

Glue

BUTTON WREATH:

Green and red buttons

DIY: HALLOWEEN TREAT BAG

The best part of halloween is definitely the candy! So why not dress up your treat bag in its own little costume? We’ve put together two simple DIY tutorials for fun treat bags that you can fill with all the sweets you can get.

BAT SILHOUETTE BAG

What you’ll need:

A tote bag

White Felt

Bat Iron-on Patches

Scissors

Fabric Glue

dsc_06721. Trace a circle on the felt to make the shape of the moon. Make sure it’s proportionate to the bag and the patches.

dsc_06772. Cut the circle out and using the fabric glue, glue it onto the bag.

dsc_06783. Place patches as shown.

dsc_06794. Iron the patches on high heat for 20 seconds each. Repeat if necessary.

And you’re done!

FRANKENSTEIN BAG

What you’ll need:

A tote bag

Felt – Green and White

Two black buttons in different sizes

Vinyl trim

Scissors

Fabric Glue 

dsc_06841. Draw a zig zag line on the long side of the felt sheet.

dsc_06882. Cut the felt along the line. Using the fabric glue, glue it onto the bag.

3. Cut two differently sized circles from the white felt for the eyes. Make them larger than the buttons.

4. Glue the two circles onto the felt.

5. Glue the buttons onto the white felt, placing them closer to the bottom of the circle.

6. Cut a strip of vinyl trim to make the unibrow.

7. Cut vinyl trim into thin strips for the scar details.

8. Cut a curved mouth shape and glue all the details onto the bag.

Trick or Treat?

DIY: Greek Key Trimmed Lamp

This week’s DIY is super simple, but incredibly chic. We took one of our favorite patterns, Greek key, and added it to a basic white lamp shade. The result? A lamp that looks fabulous, and is easy and inexpensive to make.DSC_0835

1 3/8″ (33mm) Greek Key Jacquard

Sobo Glue

Scissors

Lamp Base

DSC_08361. Wrap the trim around the base of your lampshade to see how much trim your will need.

DSC_08372. Cut to the length you will need

DSC_08393. Apply glue to the base of the lampshade.

DSC_08384. Place your trim on the areas with glue.  If your lampshade has a seam, start there.

DSC_0844Continue wrapping the trimming around the lampshade until it covers the entire length of the base.

DIY: Jute Rope Coasters

If you’re lucky enough to live by the sea, you might be a fan of nautical decor. This fun and carefree theme usually involves a combination of anchor art, navy accents, and definitely elements that feature rope. This DIY is for the sailors at heart and nautically-inclined. We’ve created a set of coasters using jute braid that are as simple to make as they are stylish.

What You’ll Need:

1/2” (13mm) Jute Tubular Braid

Long pins

Scissors

Sobo Glue

1. Cut one yard of jute for each coaster.
DSC_0396 2. Glue the ends of the coaster so they do not fray.
