As we approach the holiday hosting season and the invites for holiday parties start pouring in, questions start to swirl around our head. Should I bring a gift? Should I arrive early? What spoon goes with which dish? And other inquiries of etiquette that only seem to arise around this time of year. Fret not! We have some tips to make you the best guest at the party! And if you’re hosting? Check out our tips on how to be the Host with the Most!
Offer to help! If you see your host struggling, and even if you don’t, offer to lend a hand in the kitchen. It will be greatly appreciated by the person hosting, and the hungry crowd outside of the kitchen.
Bring a small token of appreciation. Whether it’s a bottle of wine or a gift you made yourself, a small something never goes unnoticed! You can even offer to bring one of the courses to make the party even easier on the host!
Be Punctual. Don’t be late! Especially if you happen to be bringing the appetizers!
Power through. Unless you’re allergic, don’t fuss over a food you may not like. Although it may be a bit challenging if you have certain food gripes, the person who made it put love and effort into each bite, and that’s the best ingredient of all!
