Alexander McQueen Inspired Bag DIY

Each year there is an it-bag. This coveted item is desired by everyone but owned by a select few.  This past year everyone had been crazed over the Alexander McQueen Skull bag.  Upon adding our Skull Nailheads to our e-commerce site, we realized how simple this DIY would be.  Check out our Alexander McQueen Inspired DIY tutorial below.

SUPPLIES:
12MM x 8MM IRON-ON SKULL NAILHEADS

4MM METAL CHAIN

REVOLVING LEATHER HOLE PUNCH

IRON

SCRAP PIECE OF FABRIC

WALLET

STEPS:
Place one of your 12MM x 8MM IRON-ON SKULL NAILHEADS face up on your wallet.

Gently put a piece of scrap fabric over that wallet, covering the nailhead.
Now iron your fabric for 15 seconds

DSC_0027Slowly remove the fabric, checking to see if your nailhead stayed in place.
NOTE: The Nailhead will be hot, so wait several seconds before you touch it.

You can create a design with your 12MM x 8MM IRON-ON SKULL NAILHEADS one at a time, or all at once.

Repeat the original step over again…Placing the skulls face up, covering it with fabric and ironing.
NOTE: If your skulls are not secure, iron for an additional 15 seconds.

Once you have created a pattern you are happy with on either side you may choose to add a strap.
Using your REVOLVING LEATHER HOLE PUNCH, poke a hole on either side of the wallet.

Pull your 4MM METAL CHAIN through the hole you had just created

Open the 4MM METAL CHAIN a little bit, create a loop, and then secure the chain shut

Carry the chain over and do the same thing for the other side.

Now wear your bag around town!
