Hightlights from Paris Fall 2011 Fashion Week

By Blerona

Fashion week in Paris was amazing, all the designers out did themselves as usual.  Besides the wonderful collection from Chanel the show itself was very theatrical and dramatic, with its fog-shrouded forest on a bed of still-smoldering scorched earth. The collection was filled with jackets, coats, distressed denim leggings, caps, and boots each item looking as if they had been moth-eaten or tattered.  Collete’s collection was filed with detailed lace, beaded embellishments, and crystals. Her collection was full of beautiful pieces; my favorite was full knee length dress with the beautiful trim detail. Colors included gray, dark red, and abstract multicolor print. Emanuel Ungara was filled with lace, beaded trim, leather and sequin. There were many lavishing pieces on the runway from strapless black jumpsuit with long-sleeve lace underlay to a sculpted domino sequin embroidered gown.

  1. Yes, Elie is my favorite for every season also. You should see his 2011 couture collection, his work is so beautiful.
