Accessories, we love them. And thankfully there are all different types of accessories from jewelry to legwear. And if you’re anything like me you’re all about the DIY accessories, and lucky for me I recently bought a bag that needed some sort of accessory to spruce it up. So I decided on a feather keychain. Here’s what I came up with.

Materials:

Findings:

  • Swivle Hook Item#35596 Antique Brass ( 1.800.9.MJTRIM)
  • 1 Eye Pin (Craft Store)
  • 3 Small Split rings or jump rings (Craft Store)
  • 1 Large Jump ring or split ring

Directions:

  1. Stick the eye pin through the top of the feather patch, and then loop the eye pin around itself to hold. Then attach that to the larger jump ring.
  2. Attach a small ring on wooden key and locket button.
  3. Attach another small ring around the locket button, and attach that jump ring to the larger jump ring.
  4. Attach the coin to end of a chain scrap, then attach a small jump ring to the middle of the chain and connect it with the larger jump ring.
  5. All of your pendants and feather patch should be attached to the large jump ring.
  6. Now tie the dupioni ribbon around the large jump ring and cut the ends on a preferred slant.
  7. Attach the large jump ring to the swivle hook and close the large jump ring.

  1. What are the feathers attached to? Meaning, what is the patch material or backing of the whole feather patch?

I love this little project! All I need is a feather patch!

    Thanks!

    1. Hi Subgirl, the featherpatch backing is attached to fabric. So I used an eye pin which you can get at a craft store or jewelry making store. Then stick the eye pin through the top of the feather patch, and then loop the eye pin around itself to hold. Then attach that to the larger jump ring.

  2. Its such as you learn my thoughts! You appear to grasp a lot approximately this, suuch as you wrote the e-book in it or
something. I think that you can do with some percent to power the message home a bit, but other than that,

  3. Hi there! I know this is kind of off topic but I
was wondering which blog platform are you using for this
site? I’m getting fed up of WordPress because I’ve had issues with
hackers and I’m looking at alternatives for another
platform. I would be fantastic if you could point me in the
    direction of a good platform.

  4. of course like your website however you have to take a look at
the spelling on quite a few of your posts. Several of them are
rife with spelling problems and I to find it very bothersome to tell the reality nevertheless I
