Skirted Tables

By Nicole

I love the crisp tailored look of these trimmed out skirted tables! I think it adds a fresh dimension to a traditional idea. Skirted tables are a great way to hide something ugly, give yourself more storage and create something beautiful!

So when I scavenged through my Mother in Laws basement and found the perfect size sofa table, I was so excited to make a chic table skirt for it!

My inspiration: This foyer by Tom Scheerer

This linen console from Beach Dwelling… I love the laces, so beachy and whimsical!

Blogger Eddie Ross took this old pedestal sink from grungy to gorgeous with his black and white skirt!

He inspired Jenny of Little Green Notebook to do the same! Hers is a no-sew DIY!

Here is a photo of the my skirted table! The fabric, an awesome KWID for Lee Jofa was on the pricy side, so I had my friend pillow maker Melanie of Plum Cushion whip this up for me!

We used a jacquard  to give it that crisp tailored look that I loved in the photos above.

Here is a close up of the fabric and the jacquard!

You can learn how to do it yourself with this tutorial from Better Homes and Gardens!

  1. Apple now has Rhapsody as an app, which is a great start, but it is currently hampered by the inability to store locally on your iPod, and has a dismal 64kbps bit rate. If this changes, then it will somewhat negate this advantage for the Zune, but the 10 songs per month will still be a big plus in Zune Pass’ favor
