How to Tie a Bow
Materials
1 1/2 Yard piece of
ribbon
1 foot piece of
ribbon
Instructions
Take 1 1/2 yard piece of ribbon. go about 6" from end and pinch between forefinger and thumb.
Still Pinching ribbon, twist ribbon halfway around and make one loop. pinch again.
Twist Ribbon halfway around again, make second loop of bow, and pinch again.
Repeat on other side this time making a little smaller loop to rest on top of 1st larger loop.
Repeat Step D on other side
Still holding bow together with your fingers, make the center loop of the bow. Twist so front of ribbon is facing forward, and make a small loop to sit in the center of the bow. Pinch to hold again.
Now take smaller 1 foot piece of ribbon and string through center loop. of whole bow. turn bow around (Still holding bow together by pinching) Now tie a tight knot in back of bow where you were holding bow together with your fingers. (**Note: You can also use a piece of floral wire to do this.)
Turn Bow facing forward, straighten out loops, and cut ends evenly with a scissor.
