Accounting Internship
Spring/Summer
The Accounting Intern will support the Accounting Department by performing clerical and analytical tasks as assigned.
Responsibilities:
- Print, review and mail daily invoices and monthly statements
- Filing for department (i.e. Accounts payable paid bill and vendors )
- Enter and file resale certificates
- Maintaining office equipment (i.e. copy, fax, coffee machines)
Requirements:
- Highly organized, fast learner, excellent work ethic
- Solid communication skills, both written and verbal with experience answering phones
- The ability to multi-task in a busy, fast paced environment
- Computer literacy, including Microsoft Office Applications
Title: Marketing Intern
Spring
Responsibilities:
- Work closely and assist the Marketing Coordinator with all aspects of the marketing strategies
- Market Research on the assigned target consumers
- Copy writing as needed for brochures, web, flyers and advertisements
Requirements:
- Minimum of 15 hours per week
- Strong communication & verbal skills
- Impressive problem solving skills
- Strong written skills
- Knowledgeable in Microsoft Office including word, excel, powerpoint and outlook
- Knows how to find your way around the internet and obtain accurate and organized research
- Organized and able to multitask
- Ability to thinking creatively
Title: PR Intern
Spring
Responsibilities:
- Work closely and assist the Marketing Coordinator with all aspects Public Relations for both M&J Trimming and Papillon Accessories
- Contact various magazine editors and TV producers
- Write up proposals and press releases
- Research proper distribution of press releases
- Research on current Public Relation trends
- Contact various popular blogs with proposals
Requirements:
- Minimum of 15 hours per week
- Impressive communication & verbal skills
- Strong written skills
- Knowledgeable in Microsoft Office including word, excel, powerpoint and outlook
- Knows how to find your way around the internet and obtain accurate and organized research
- Organized and able to multitask
- Ability to think creatively
- Able to write an impressive press release
Title: Creative Display Intern
Spring
Responsibilities:
- Work closely with the Creative Coordinator and the Creative Assistant with all aspects creative display
- Brain storm with the creative team on possible window display and story board designs
- Craft together the story boards and window displays after proposal approval
- Meet strict deadlines and multitask between multiple projects
- Research on current popular fashion, home décor and bridal trends
Requirements:
- Minimum of 15 hours per week
- Getting along well in a team environment
- Good communication and problem solving skills
- Enjoy designing, crafting and hands on experience
- Ability to think creatively
- Organized and able to multitask
Title: Graphic Design Intern:
The Graphic Design Internship will give a student a unique opportunity to assist in the everyday operations of M&J Trimming. The intern will work with our Graphic and Multimedia Designer developing print products such as in-store signage, business cards; web graphics, marketing collateral, use PhotoShop and digital camera to take photographs, edit our weekly blog, work on fashion related trends and other day-to-day tasks. Candidate must be a multi-tasker, and be able to work well in a fast-paced, team environment, while working on a project from concept to completion. Proficiency working in a Mac platform, print production as well as web graphic design knowledge preferred.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 15 hours per week
- Strong communication & verbal skills
- Strong Design Skills (Proficiency with Photoshop, Ilustrator.)
- Ability to work creatively, independently and as a team member
- Strong Attention to detail.
- Familiarity with designing for the Web and proficiency in html a plus.
- Interest in fashion .
- Education and experience in graphic design, digital photography, comping and layout design.
- Comfortable working in a Mac environment.
- Working knowledge of Adobe CS programs-Illustrator, Photoshop, Dreamweaver and Flash.
- Excellent computer graphics, illustrative and technical skills
- Taking and working with digital photography.
- Ability to work pro-actively and independently on multiple tasks while maintaining quality and meeting deadlines.
